What makes human humane?

            Consider this: a burglar stole a businessman’s wallet but got caught by the police. The police man asked the businessman if he wanted to charge the burglar of thievery. The business man asked the burglar why he stole his wallet. The burglar replied that his mother was sick and needed money to buy medicine. Instead of just imprisoning the burglar the businessman told him “I will buy your mother’s medicines but you still need to pay for your crimes”.

A heartless man is just a rational animal. Whose mind is for logical, practical and literal thinking and whose heart is for pleasure, humility and morality. Humans are categorized as the most superior animal on the animal kingdom, But what makes me superior? Is it because I am intelligent? But if I am superior and heartless, I would rather be inferior with a heart.

The brain has no heart and the heart has no brain, that’s why when we speak our minds we appear heartless and when we do what’s in our hearts we seem thoughtless. And sometimes the worst battle we have to fight is between what we know and how we feel. The heart knows things that the mind can't explain. The heart feels when to love and the mind knows when to stop. Love and pain are inseparable. Everyone desires to be loved but no one wants to feel pain.

To love someone is a great risk. You risk on loving someone that is not guaranteed to love you. Love is not give and take. Just because you love someone she/he is not obligated to love you back. I myself have loved someone who didn’t love me, instead she rejected me. I kept on loving her even though it hurt, because I loved the pain as much as I loved her. My heart kept me going but, my mind told me to stop. I stopped not because of the pain, but because of my brain.

You cannot force yourself to love and you cannot force someone to love you back. Love is unconditional. Loving someone is accepting his/her flaws and imperfections. Love is a complicated thing, and you're never quite sure how things could possibly turn out to be. You just have to hope for the best and patiently wait for your happily ever after with a special person.

A simple reminder for the people whose hearts have been strangled due to one sided love.

Just let go and love again.
